I am a Michigan native and recently I moved to Traverse City to be close to family.  I live with my sister and her dog, Hamilton.  When I’m not taking care of dogs I love to cook, read, hike and clean things.  It’s a sickness😉!

My professional background is predominantly retail management and I ran a dog and cat accessory boutique for over ten years.  I began pet sitting for a few of my store’s customers back in 2001.  I had established relationships with many pets and their owners because we encouraged people to bring their pets into the store.  Clients felt comfortable with me taking care of their home as well as their pets.  Some pet owners don’t like to put their pets in a kennel or just have someone visit several times a day.  They want their pet’s life to be unaffected while they are away.

Through word of mouth my client list grew to the point that sometimes I spent more nights at other people’s homes than my own!  I booked clients sometimes a year in advance and occasionally people would plan their trip based on my availability.  Before I knew it I was a pet sitter!  There is nothing in this world that can warm my heart faster than an animal.  I sincerely love what I do and would be honored to care for your pets!
